Swagat Indian Restaurant located under the Silver Sea Resort in Sixth Avenue, Maroochydore is an unassuming restaurant that serves great curry! I have often stopped by on the way home to pickup takeaways (there’s always parking outside) and to date, I’ve never had a bad meal.
I had friends staying at the Silver Seas this week and we met for a drink in their apartment and decided to head downstairs to eat. It’s BYO which is always a plus in my book.
The restaurant had a few tables spare but while we were dining there, more people arrived. The waitress served us promptly and was helpful in recommending dishes for us – particularly as 3 of them wanted to have the banquet. We didn’t wait long for any of our dishes as we’d asked that they just be brought out when they were ready.
We had a variety of beef, lamb, chicken and even goat curries. All were offered to us mild, medium or hot and all came out perfectly cooked. The bowls were full of meat which is always nice as a lot of curry restaurants tend to have lots of sauce and a few pieces of meat in their dishes. They were all so tender and flavourful. One of the girls was averse to trying the goat but when she did she was hooked – remarking that she didn’t expect it to be so tender and tasty. There were a couple of side salads that were also very fresh and delicious
So if you’re ever in the mood for an Indian meal whether it be takeaway or dining in, Sunshine Coast Restaurant Reviews can fully recommend Swagat Indian Restaurant – it’s not the flashest place you’ll ever go to – but it’s clean, comfy and leaves you with a smile on your face and a full belly!
